
TRI launched The Oram Awards in 2017, in partnership with the PRS Foundation.
The awards are named after Daphne Oram, a founding member of the original BBC Radiophonic Workshop, who played a vital role in establishing women at the forefront of innovation in emerging audio technologies not only in the UK but around the world.
The Oram Awards (currently a CIC) is open to women, trans, non-binary and gender expansive artists, honouring the most innovative artists in sound, music and related technologies.

Each year a live event that includes workshops, talks and performances is held in partnership with festivals and venues across the UK. Previous partnerships include No Bounds Festival, Turner Contemporary, Blue Dot Festival, Kings Place and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.
